Colts Dwight Freeney Has Torn Ligament In Ankle
No Super Bowl for Dwight Freeney?
The Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl defensive end has a torn ligament in his right ankle that will make it difficult for him to play against the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV.
Colts president Bill Polian has predicted that Freeney will play, but there are serious concerns that he will not be able to go.
For me, I just can’t see him not going in this one. I think if he can walk… Freeney will play and he will be pulling out all the stops to get on the field.
Freeney has been in a walking boot all week and has gone through battery of treatments for the ankle. He has used a hyperbaric chamber to help heal, a technique he often uses to try to heal from injuries quickly.
Freeney is also using a device called ARP that is similar to a stem device to move the blood supply to the damaged ankle.
