Here we go again.

According to the team, Los Angeles Clippers No. 1 overall pick Blake Griffin has a stress fracture on his left kneecap and could be sidelined for six weeks.

The former Oklahoma star apparently broke his kneecap during the Clippers’ final exhibition game against New Orleans last Friday.

Griffin was the consensus college player of the year in 2008 with 22.7 points and an NCAA-best 14.4 rebounds per game for the Sooners.

After winning the draft lottery and selecting Griffin, the Clippers reported that he strained his right shoulder during a summer league game in July. Los Angeles brought him back cautiously, and Griffin said he was totally healthy entering the preseason.

This latest injury has Clippers fans crying out that their team is jinxed.

The team has an unbelievable history of bad management with moves like trading Adrian Dantley for Billy Knight, and choosing Danny Manning and watching his ACL implode.
