Browns QB Brady Quinn Is Cleveland’s Big Loser
Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn may be disappointed with his playing status, but that’s not the only thing he is down about. The former first-round pick could lose millions if he doesn’t play this weekend against the Green Bay Packers.
Quinn’s contract states that he needs to play 70 percent of the Browns offensive snaps this season to earn two bonuses worth a combined $10.95 million.
Now with Quinn having been benched in favor of Derek Anderson after playing just about 10 quarters, Quinn pocketbook will most certainly be talking a hit.
Quinn was on pace to earn those large bonuses when he won Cleveland’s starting quarterback job in the preseason, but he threw for just 400 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in three regular-season starts.
The Browns have now turned to Anderson.
